Think and Speak Like a Winner

Hello Friends and Fellow Networkers,

I hope you are having an incredible summer spreading hope, opportunity and the American Dream across this great land. I am so thankful to have a thriving network marketing business in this economy, and I feel that it is my obligation to get the word out to people who may not believe that there is a better way...a MUCH better way!

It is amazing at how much negativity surrounds us each and every day. Negative people, negative friends, negative relatives...and negative news! So how do we keep our heads right so that we can live a fulfilling and prosperous life?

Our thoughts determine our actions, our moods, our self-image, even the words we speak. We can change our situation in life simply by changing the way we think.

Our thoughts determine our destiny.
You are today where your thoughts have brought you.
You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.
When I started my journey in network marketing. I wanted to be we a winner. I quickly realized that I had to start THINKING and SPEAKING like a winner. Even though I had some success early on, I knew I needed to change my thinking and how I reacted to situations, in order to have the success that I truly desired. I began to read and listen to positive books and audios that would help me in my own personal development. I discovered that there is one distinctive trait that all winners have:
They KNOW that Success is a MENTAL GAME - they understand the POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHTS.
The most important thing that I did was learn to guard my mind. There is a constant battle going on in your mind between positive and negative thoughts. Remember, you will become what you think about. If you make the mistake of dwelling on negative thoughts, you are going to wind up someone and somewhere you don't want to be. Negative thinking is the utter destruction of your dreams.
It was amazing to me when I started to learn that I could control my thoughts and the direction of my life. Most have never learned this powerful information. When our mental muscles are weak, we are easily swayed by the influences, opinions, and ideas of others.
When your Belief in YOU and YOUR DREAM
is Greater than your belief in other people's opinions,
You will have mastered your life!!
I believe that there are two main sources of negativity that assault our minds and thoughts.
Our environment: Outside influences feed us negative information all day long. Turn off the news! It is OK to be informed, it is not OK to be fully immersed. News has to sell, and what sells better, positive or negative news? Sadly, we all know the answer.
Unfortunately, most of us are surrounded by pessimistic people - family members, peers, business associates, even people who we casually meet. Most of these people are not negative intentionally; they are just affected by the same negative environment that we are. However, that doesn't change the fact that if we constantly listen to negative, depressed people, we will become negative and depressed.
Self-destructive thoughts - to many people believe that their past equals their future. In other words, they think that their past failures and disappointments will continue and that they will never achieve the success they desire.
You must train your mind and develop the mental muscle and the will to resist the negativity that comes at you from all directions. Condition yourself to think positively, or you'll go back to the pessimistic state of mind that most people live in.
If you don't control your mind, it will control you.
Here are few steps that helped me, they may help you as well.
1. See things as they are. It is easy to think that things are worse than what they are. Most of the things that we "worry" about NEVER happen. This type of thinking drains our positive energy. When you consistently see things as worse than what they are, you become overwhelmed and discouraged.
2. Be aware of your thoughts. Are they positive and uplifting or negative and destructive? Ask yourself, "Is this type of thinking empowering to me and my dream?" Self-awareness is the first step to change.
3. Get rid of any negative thoughts immediately and replace with positive. Keep your mind strong by feeding it positive thoughts of success.
What is wrong is ALWAYS available. So is what is RIGHT!
If you want to be a TOP achiever, choose to find the positive in EVERY situation. Instead of asking, "Why did this happen to me?" Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this and how can I use this to grow and serve others?"
If you change your thoughts, you will change your beliefs.
If you change your beliefs, you will change your expectations.
If you change your expectations, you will change you attitude.
If you change your attitude, you will change your behavior.
If you change your behavior, you will change your performance.
If you change your performance, YOU WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

The Power of Numbers

Hello Friends and Fellow Networkers,

I really appreciate your emails in regards to covering certain topics....This week, I will be sharing my view in regards to the Power of Numbers. This is such a simple concept, and when it is fully understood and implemented, it takes all of the up and down emotion out of the game!

The Power of Numbers is the basic philosophy of many of the most successful businesses. The Walmart Empire was built on the power of numbers, a profitable business model was developed and then that model was duplicated over and over again. More stores meant more sales, more sales meant more profit. McDonalds took this concept to franchising. A McDonald's franchise owner could duplicate themselves by simply owning more franchises.

In Network Marketing, your job is to develop business partners who will have thriving businesses. The more successful business partners you have, the more sales and success your business will have.

Athletes use the power of numbers. The star on the team is not the one with the most talent, it is the one who takes the most shots. Top athletes know that winning is a numbers game - the more shots you take, the more opportunities you have to score.

It is very important to keep in mind that the person who takes the most shots is almost always the person who misses the most. Babe Ruth set the single-season home run record with 60 home runs. That same year he led the league in strikeouts with 189.

I would rather see an average networker who is willing to "play the numbers" than a superstar who never takes any shots. The networker who plays the numbers will ALWAYS have more opportunities to make sales and recruit new business partners.

The key to the power of numbers is finding a basic pattern or business model that is simple, proven and duplicatable. All you have to do is learn the business model and then repeat it on a mass scale to achieve predictable results.

Walt Disney was told "No" by virtually every person he talked to. They said his idea of a cartoon about a mouse was absolutely ridiculous. He was turned down by over 300 bankers before he found someone who would fund his vision. Walt Disney believed in his vision strong enough to continue playing the numbers.

The Bible says, "Ask and it shall be given to you." "Seek and ye shall find" and "Knock and it shall be opened to you." This is such a powerful principle. Think about it, if you consistently ASK enough people, and you are willing to KNOCK on enough doors, then eventually doors will OPEN, you will FIND the right opportunities, and you will be GIVEN the results you desire.

Winning is all in the numbers; Practicing the numbers, improving the numbers and consistently playing the numbers.

Learn and practice the basics, and do it over and over again.
Know your averages.
Evaluate your performance and improve your averages.

But I don't like to hear NO

Hello Friends and Fellow Networkers,

Thank you for all of the kind comments and emails in regards to my last video post. I will be posting more videos in the very near future.

I often get asked, "What is your secret to success?" I simply answer, "I get up every time I fall." A very simple answer, but a very true answer. Successful people fail over and over and over again. Failures fail a few times then stop taking any action.

I had to learn to discipline my disappointments and get up and get on with it. I learned that the word "NO" is simply part of the journey, it is part of the process, and if I tried to avoid hearing it, I would get absolutely NOWHERE!

The word NO is a building block for your business. How? It's worth money to you. Most people think that NO is a horrible thing. Wrong! Fall in love with the word NO, because the more NOs you get, the more YES's you will get.

With this mindset, you will understand that the word NO is a building block that you will build your business with. Just like bricks, use these blocks to build a strong business.

All businesses operate on the law of averages in sales. You are going to get a certain number of NOs regardless of what industry you are in.

How do you prepare for them? The best way is to be able to visualize in your mind that every time you hear NO, you are that much closer to a YES. You MUST sort through the NOs to get to the YES! It is essential!!

Your success will be in direct proportion to how many NOs you can hear, and can say, "Thank you!" Remember, sometimes a NO simply means NOT NOW and can be FUTURE BUSINESS!
Remember, a YES is around the corner.

People say NO because they simply don't KNOW!!

Keep sifting and sorting to find those that are cut out to be your business partners. Those that have a great attitude and positive expectancy! Amateurs Convince and Professionals SORT!

Motivating and Managing Yourself

Hello Friends and Fellow Networkers,

I am so excited to share with you my BLOG. Okay..yes, this is new for me, but I am very enthused about being able to share teaching, video and audio files with all of you.

Also, newcomers to the newsletter will now be able to easily view past archived "All About You" articles and videos.

I have recieved numerous letters and emails from around the country the last few weeks. A few of them shared the same theme, "How do you keep motivated and inspired?" For those of us that are building our own business, we have to be good at Self-Management and Self-Motivation. Yes, we can look to external sources like upline counsel and great books and audios. But, when it comes down to the moment of making the phone call or not. It is up to US to do the work.

Self-Management and Self-Motivation are the keys to a successful person. These two items determine your succwss with your Network Marketing business.

Motivating yourself is something that you can learn in order to keep the "gas" in your "engine". Different things motivate different people, but here is a list to start with.

1. Associate with Winners and Top Producers
Let thier fire light you up. The fact that they have got what you are striving for is all the more reason to learn from them. Listen to those who have great accomplishments and copy what they done.

2. Stay in Touch with your Succcessful Upline Leaders
Talk to them about their success, ask questions and learn. Share your desires with them. They have a vested interest in your success and they want to see you become successful. Your upline is an invaluable asset and resource as you are building your business. Use them.

3. Read Motivational Books and Listen to Personal Development Audios

Reading and inputting inspriation into your mind is like adding kerosene to a flame! Books will help you not only get motivated, but also keep you growing, evolving and learning. Turn your car into a classroom and make better use of your drive time.

4. Attend Company Events and Convetions
Attending a company function is very powerful. You have the opportunity to learn from those who have accomplished what you want to accomplish. You will also be able to meet corporate personnel and get familiar with the company culture. You will also be able to meet the top income earners. Not everyone who attends the events are top income earners, but ALL top income earners are at the events. Events build BIG belief and those with BIG belief will build a BIG business.

5. Set Rewards for Yourself
Eveytime you do something good or accomplish something, reward yourself. Set the rewards in advance so that you have a target to shoot for.

6. Build a Vision/Dream Board
Put pictures up of things you want to buy, places you want to go, and people and charities that you would like to help. This board is a constant reminder. Put it somewhere so that you can view it each day.

7. Set Reachable Goals
This must be done for any success, and it motivates like crazy! Start with little goals and then increase. Motivating yourself is an ongoing process. Do the suggestions above and Power UP!

Become a Good Self-Manager

It is important to manage 3 basic things.

1. Activity
Include contacts, 3 way calls, presentations, follow ups and sign ups. Tracking our "actual" activity doesn't allow us to believe that we have done more than really have. By tracking activity, it is easy to set a goal, get the activity done and mark it off the list. It helps enhance your daily sense of accomplishment.

2. Results
If you keep your activity up and tracked and your pipeline full, the numbers will always fall in your favor. Tracking your results allow us to get a clearer picture of whether we are on track or if we need to tune up a few things.

3. Time
If you fail to control your time, your time will control you. Time is a very important resource that needs to me managed wisely. Time is truly the only capital we all equally have to build a business. What you put into your day will equal what you get out.

It is not how many hours you put in, it is what you put into your hours.

Use your planner and fill in the time periods of what your typical day looks like Sunday through Saturday. By doing this a picture will start to emeerge of where all your time goes. this will then allow you to make changes and adjustments. This gives you the ability to make choices.

Self-Motivation and Self-Management are key to building a profitable and long term Network Marketing business. Just following these simple steps and YOU will become the best Motivator and Manager YOU have ever had!!

Thank you to all of you that have sent in questions and comments. If you have a topic of interest or question, feel free to send to - or visit my website.

I am recording some video files so those will be posted in the near future. stay tuned!!

Know what to do and actually DO IT!

Hello Friends and Fellow Networkers,
I have recieved really great letters, questions and topics of interest and am excited to share with you in this newletter.
What I am REALLy fired up abou tis that I will soon be releasing a video newsletter, and will be addressing some of your quesitons and topics "on the air". Ge the word out to your fellow networkers so that they can be a part of this wonderful community as well.
So keep sending them in to
I know that some like to read, but others learn in a more visual way, so I am thrilled tht I will be able to offer both!

Dear Johnna,
I really appreciate the information in your newsletter and have read your book several times. I always get something more out of it, every time I read it. I has opened my eyes andhas helped me eliminate some of my negative thought processes. I have already had some success in my business, I know that I have to do more to take my business to the next level. I know what to do, but I am stuck. Why am I not doing it?

Hello Joseph,
Thank you for your kind words about the book. I am so thankful that you feel that it is serving you well.
I appreciate your honesty and candor in regards to your questions. You are among many that feel "stuck" every now and then. Including myself.
There is a world of difference between knowing what to do and actually do it. I consider it a privilege and honor when people allow me to help them. Nothing is more satisfying then when they succeed. But I am also reminded often of the fact that so many have yet to discover their greatness within and their true potential.
Many know HOW to do the business, you have the KNOWLEDGE. What many are missing is the ability to APPLY the knowledge. Without that skill, it doesn't matter how much you know, you will be stranded at the edge of the abyss.
Those of us who have crossed the abyss, those who KNOW and DO enjoy tremendous and incredibility positive changes in their lives.
Do, how do you take the leap and join those of us on the other side? How do you begin to thrive and not merely survive?
REAL CHANGE always begins on the inside.
Have you made the decision to change?
There is a big difference between deciding something and having compelling reasons to actually do it.
When you make the decision to change AND you clearly know your reasons, you will harness a powerful force and an incredible desire to make things happen.
Write down every compelling reason you have for building a successful and profitable network marketing business.
Read you reasons every day, with total confidence and assurance. Don't describe your future as something you "hope" to acheive. Picture what you just wrote as something you will absolutely accomplish, without fail! You must be convinced that what you are seeing in your mind IS your future.
Feel the surge of pride. Imagine others congratulating you on your success. Feel the spotlights of the convention shining on you!
Then, and most importantly, follow through on your self promises. For example, when you know you should be doing something and your not, your confidence and belief in yourself will beginn to fade away.
It doesn't have to be like that. No matter how long it has been like that, it doesn't have to stay that way. It is important to turn all of you "shoulds" into MUSTS.
Keep your word to yourself. Keep your self promises. Promise yourself that you are going to take it all the way!
